Qualifications
Shama R. Mittal, M.D. completed her internship and residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at East Carolina University, Greenville, NC. Dr. Mittal earned her medical degree from Baroda Medical College, Baroda, India. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Mittal is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Mittal has practiced as a primary care physician since 1997. She is a recipient of the American Medical Association’s “Physician’s Recognition Award in Continuing Medical Education,” and was recognized by the “Diabetes Physician Recognition Program” sponsored by the American Diabetes Association and NCQA.
